DACA and What We Can Do!

On June 15,2012 many non-citizens got an opportunity for a future life with benefits in the U.S. Under Barack Obama’s administration the DACA program was created. This program mostly was helping does who came to America as a child with no mindset of what was happening when they were brought over. It gave them a chance to keep their education going and have a better job. As many as 800,000 recipients had the opportunity to take advantage of it.
Dreamers increased the economy throughout the states across all sectors of it where most immigrants are living. Now to this opportunity given to them it gave a chance for people to have their own home, buy cars, and have businesses. This gave an increase in sales and taxes it benefits more than we can imagine. Through this process the “Dreamers” became financially independent and to have stability. Out of the economy being good because of the results of DACA other recipients are not working they are in school studying for their actual career. Think about the greater advantage of having all does that applied for DACA when they are all working doing taxes buying things that benefit the state’s economy how much of a greater increase there will be.
Though to Trumps decision he didn’t think it benefited the states at all. He ended DACA on September 5, 2017. Donald Trump thought or had a mindset that “Dreamers” were taking opportunities from their young American kids. When in reality they are not they have the same chances as anybody who is going for the same goal. Trump is living the decision to congress and does dreamers are worried about the future choice that is going to be made. Out of this decision many young immigrants are now in fear of getting deported of having no more options in life in the United States. Going back to a country they don’t recognize is not something their happy of having to accept because to them the United States is their home. Its where they have lived their whole childhood. Now all they can do is wait for a decision from congress and hoping it’s for the best.
Though because we have friends, family members, and others who are part of DACA, we are willing to help and make a change to keep them in the United States. The point is to reach out and make people hear us to see how DACA recipients help or contribute to society and the economy. You can help by volunteering, community organizing, and attending protests and rallies. Reach out to your congressman and make them see how they benefit to the state. How they are not people whom want to harm others they are just seeking to be better in life and have a good future.
